October Reading Wrap-Up + Reading Challenge Results.

I’m still on a semi-break, semi as in fewer posts than usual. The start of a new month really feels like a fresh new reading start, I’m in the middle of two right now. Reviews coming out hopefully this week or whenever else I’ve finished them. :’D

  • Unnatural Magic by C.M. Waggoner, a fantasy release coming out November 5. This is the first time I’ve ever read a book that is almost 90% about trolls. I am trying not to picture troll dolls, lol. Google image search results show a wide gamut of what people consider trolls to be so I’m pretty much envisioning elves but way bulkier.
  • The Unhoneymooners by Christina Lauren, romance. The waiting list for this one on my library’s overdrive was long, still can’t believe it was finally my turn lol. I liked The Hating Game by Sally Thorne more, but it’s worth mentioning that the two books are thematically similar and could be bookish sisters.

Thanks so much for your likes and comments! Still checking out everyone’s blogs, at a slower rate than usual but still here. 😀 Hope you’ve had a great week! ~ Kitty

BookBlogger Bookmarks : 10 Great Posts I’ve Read This Week (#004)

10 posts this week! Getting this post together quite later than usual, but still keeping the daily posting goal going. Glad to finally get the Kindle Unlimited sampling post out, when my KU expires will probably keep it going with library books instead. There are so many titles at my local library that aren’t quite TBR’d but look interesting.

On the reading front I finished The Shining yesterday and have been watching a few book-to-movie adaptations and planning to make a post on that as well, likely this week.

Hope everyone is having a great and fun weekend! And thanks as always for your support in my blogging endeavors. ~ Kitty

9 posts this week! The Owlcrate unboxing and Bookoutlet hauls were fun posts to make, I’m planning on making more pic-heavy posts like that in the future. 🙂 To whoever signed up for Owlcrate and Bookoutlet using my referral links inside the posts above, thanks so much!! I noticed one person signed for each and I’ll definitely put the credit acquired to good use.

I finished three books this week. The much awaited Ninth House, a relaxing romance called Depths Awakened, and this morning a perplexing yet fascinating mystery, We Have Always Lived In The Castle. Reviews coming for all three and the Ninth House review is scheduled to go live on Monday.

I hope everyone has had a good week and be sure to get some sun in these shorter daylight months. Looking forward to all the little chats and thanks as always for your comments and likes. ~ Kitty

Top 5 Saturday : Books That Cast A Spell On You

11 posts this week! I usually create this post way in advance and schedule it but forgot to do so this week. ^^” So it’s running late, but at least I made it before midnight. Am on a 65-day streak so far, would love to stay committed enough to get that to 100. 🙂

I hope everyone has had a great week and reading week in general. I just finished The Fountains of Silence by Ruta Sepetys today, and will be reviewing + making a moodboard for it this Tuesday. I was expecting to LOVE it but have mixed feelings, will go into further detail in the upcoming review.

Also going to post a Six of Crows review. I thought I already did but somehow that is one of the few GR reviews I have yet to polish and repost on here. :’D Speaking of which, picked up Ninth House from the library. I put it on hold on release day and was expecting a 2-3 week wait at soonest but they had it available in under two days! Libraries are truly amazing. I was going to buy it but spent all my bookish funds on an amazing library book sale, future post coming about that once I get some nice pics taken.

Thanks as always for being here and for checking out my blog posts, really appreciate all of you. ~ Kitty

BookBlogger Bookmarks : 10 Great Posts I’ve Read This Week (#002)

The Bookblogger Bookmarks and Pink Books posts were so fun to make. 12 posts this week, 1 up from last week. I’m kind of in shock seeing that number as in many ways, this week has been a sort of break for me lol. I finished one book this week, Spin The Dawn. Review coming soon.

This week was my dad’s birthday so I hung out with fam. In some coincidental bookish news, we all went to a local library’s massive fall book sale and I spent a pretty excessive amount on some extraordinary titles. Haul post coming soon-ish (or probably sooner on my Instagram, feel free to add me if you haven’t) I love to look at everyone’s bookish posts. I still have a lot to learn in way of making my book photos artsy, lol.

How has your week been? Are you reading anything? Mine has been good, am hoping this fresh new week will be a great one for all of us. ~ Kitty

Book Review : Beyond The Moon by Catherine Taylor

11 posts this week! I have this streak going on WordPress, at 48 days now of at least 1 post per day and I’m hoping to keep it going for a while. Wish me luck, and wishing you all out there luck as well in keeping up on this book blogging journey. ^_^b

  • I learned from the scary books discussion post that The Shining by Stephen King is probably a title I should strive for as far as horror in October, it seems to have stuck with a lot of people!
  • The blog tour for Juliet Takes A Breath was wonderful. Thank you to everyone for your likes and support. I’m going to be doing another blog tour for @PenguinTeen soon, for the title The Fountains of Silence by Ruta Sepetys. I’m so happy about it! A great friend of mine adores that author and has been reading her works for years. I’ve been TBR’ing Ruta’s work for too long and am looking forward to reading her new book and putting a great deal of thought into my eventual review. The blog tour will occur in mid-October.

Books In-Progress

  • Resurrection Girls by Ava Morgyn – 40% read.

Books Finished This Week

  • Beyond The Moon by Catherine Taylor – Review Above
  • The Good Kill by Kurt Brindley – Review Above
  • A Lush And Seething Hell by John Hornor Jacobs – Review on GR, blogging it soon.

Manga/Graphic Novels This Week
-none- Though I’m hoping to glom a big series in October.

I hope everyone has had a good week! I’m excited about the approaching new month, and look forward to book blogging and checking out everyone’s blogs. Bookblogger Bookmarks will be returning during the first week of October and there are so many brilliant posts and book bloggers in the community that I want you guys to check out. Thank you as always for your comments and likes and kind words. It means a lot.
