Hi, Kitty here!
I’ve been inactive in recent months due to a much longer reading (and writing) slump than expected. This month, however, I’ve been reading very actively and enjoying myself and just recharging this passion with some miraculous results. I’ve started going through my ARCs more aggressively and have enjoyed those reading experiences more than I previously did. Could the slump be over? I hope so.
Lots of reviews planned but I’m going to try think of this as something I do when I can and feel up to it instead of making exact and concrete plans or promises and inviting stress in what should be a fun and positive hobby.
So I guess the plan is to have no plan? lol, I am just going to post when I feel up to it and hopefully more regularly.
That said, I’ve started getting excited about some new releases and upcoming releases and just.. do things other than play Animal Crossing and try not to think a lot of bad thoughts in general.
Seriously though, Animal Crossing is lifesaving. Anyone else playing it? let me know your friend code if so, would love to visit your town.
Final thing I’d like to state in this random note, I have a huge list of people I’m following and am catching up on all the blogs and comment like I used to. So many of you have been amazingly consistent and are still posting so regularly over a span of months/years and it is so inspiring and such a motivation to return to this community and see so many still involved. β€
I’m thinking of broadening this blog a bit, 80% books 20% random other things. To start I’d like to ask anyone reading, what is your favorite tea? (or other beverage, if tea isn’t your thing.)

My favorite tea so far has been peppermint. I’ve also tried fennel tea and green tea and want to try ginger tea in the future. Still new to the land of tea and wish I’d started much earlier. Nonetheless, it’s been calming and wonderful to start. β€
Wishing you the best,
Kitty

Awww thanks! I went through my own slump this winter, after moving. I just got back on track starting in April… so everyone goes through it! Don’t worry. It is good that you are back. It’s a rough world right now.

Turmeric tea is my favorite

Turmeric tea! I’ve heard it has fantastic health benefits. Is it on the bitter side?

Itβs more spicy than bitter. You can always add a small cube of sugar if itβs not to your liking, but I really enjoy it

My favorite drink is Dr Pepper. Iβm literally obsessed. I donβt drink anything else except for water.

Wow that is some Dr. Pepper loyalty. π I don’t usually drink soda but now I want to try it and see what is special.

I am addicted to it. Iβve tried to cut it out completely but it never lasts long. Iβm the only one in my family that exclusively drinks Dr Pepper. I literally donβt drink any other soda unless Iβm sick and then I will drink sprite.

I'm playing ACNH (currently doing *another* re-design of my island LOL) but YAY! I totally agree it's life-saving although I'm now battling reading/playing time every day π€£ My friend code is SW-4593-0344-8127 if you want to visit β€οΈ
I'm pretty basic with my tea and love a good every day tea/english breakfast with a good dash of milk and sugar π

I’ve missed you too Dini! β€ I’m glad you can feel what I’m going for with having no plan lol. I hope it works. I’m ecstatic to hear that you play ACNH! I’ll contact you on Twitter and any time you’re up for it I’d love to give your town a visit. Mine is also very much in progress. Added your friend code. π omg english breakfast tea plus milk and sugar, it’s one of the general types I haven’t tried yet, definitely going to make note of that.

I love that you mentioned the little extra things you added, lemon + earl grey is something I hadn’t thought of. Actually wasn’t sure at all what to put with earl grey until now, lol. I am also desperate to try bubble tea someday, I’ve seen some adorable pictures.
