Sincerest thanks if you do!

This box was shipped November 19th, 2019 and I received it November 22nd, 2019. Last month’s box was shipped on the 16th and arrived on the 19th. Just a few days difference and I’m pretty sure they were swamped with orders this month because there is a very impressive surprise in this box…

First, the least spoiler-y contents.

1st image is a card (basically postcard) with artwork pertaining to this month’s theme. Very cute art style!

2nd image is another card advertising a book series by Lyra Selene.

3rd image is of a small Owlcrate magazine containing an interview with a bookish merchant and crossword puzzle. I’d heard Owlcrate was considering making this little magazine digital-only, I’m glad it’s included in a physical form in this month’s box.

Just jumping straight to the most exciting item in this box- a whole large blanket!! I’d heard that a blanket would be included in this box and almost didn’t it. The Owlcrate box is so tiny. But this blanket was wrapped tightly and unfolds to a very large size, covering the vast majority of my twin size bed. The material is soft and luxurious, surprisingly thick though it folds to a very compact size. The butterflies, forest, leaves- all vividly printed and beautifully designed. Of all the Owlcrate loot I’ve seen so far, this is the single best piece I’ve seen yet. Very conflicted on whether to use it or stow it away for safekeeping, I can just tell this blanket will be special. Very glad I subbed to this month’s box!

Designed by Juniper and Ivy Designs. I think this is a wide mini-bookmark, made of sleek engraved wood. It appears to be hand-carved. Would look impressive as bookish shelf decor, or as a decorative for taking Instagram pictures. The immaculate attention to detail is stunning!

This is a metal bookmark made by Her Paper World on Etsy, It’s made of full and cool metal with very vibrant colors and lettering. This is one heavy, weighty bookmark. Definitely beyond durable. It includes a quote from Naomi Novik’s Uprooted.

A whimsical sticker sheet by Pipsticks! The stickers are quite small, but perfect for handheld planners or decorating other small things. The pastel colors and unique little bits are very cute. The back of this sheet also included a % off coupon for Pipsticks own sticker subscription boxes.

In the second image is this month’s enamel pin, it’s pretty large and has two securing pins on the back. Like the stickers, this pin matches well to the magical forest theme this month.

This is my second favorite of the items included in this box- a reading planner by Blue Star Press!! It has a lovely floral design that is consistent throughout and a quote on the back by Neil Gaiman. Though not pictured, there are other author quotes strewn about these pages.

I adore this planner and am seriously considering ditching my current one (even though I love it) and starting this far more bookish one in January. Still thinking about it. This bookish planner is undated, meaning it can be used at any year and customized. What really stands out is the inclusion of a ton of bookish charts and forms to track books you want to buy each month, books you’ve DNF’d, space to hand-write reviews, etc. It’s made for avid reading and perfect for book blogging purposes!

Now finally, the book of the month- Winterwood by Shea Ernshaw. A November 2019 release. This special edition has a vastly different color scheme, sprayed blue edges, and an extra note card with a letter from the author. I love that Owlcrate wraps their books in plastic baggies, this book is in perfect condition as expected.

Here’s a large group pic of all the items included. On the bottom right is a preview card for December’s themed box, Tales of Trickery. To my understanding it will include one book and all the other included items are a mystery. I’m still considering whether to resub or put off that month and try some other book subscription boxes. I will likely resub though because these past two months from Owlcrate have been awesome and well worth it. The blanket and planner from this month are just stellar and last month had two books instead of one. Anyway enough rambling, I hope this post has been fun to read/view and that it gives you a good idea of the value of Owlcrate book subscription boxes.

If you’re interested in trying out a month I would appreciate so much if you use my referral link. https://www.owlcrate.com/refer/Kitty-PJGVXJPC
