Goodreads Monday is a weekly meme that was started by @Lauren’s Page Turners. The meme is pretty easy to follow, to participate simply choose a random book from your TBR and explain why you want to read it!
After randomizing via Goodreads (going to my to-read shelf, scrolling down and putting sort order by random) the following book tumbled first from that crowded shelf-

Wondrous Strange (#1 of 3) by Lesley Livingston
$1.99 Kindle eBook Sale
Seventeen-year-old actress Kelley Winslow thinks that playing the role of the fairy queen Titania in a production of Shakespeare’s Midsummer Night’s Dream could be her lucky break – if she can pull it off. But when she meets the handsome Sonny Flannery, Kelley has to face the shocking truth that the world of Faeries is all too real – and that she is an unwitting part of it. Sonny warns Kelley that she is no mere mortal, and that she is being haunted by powerful forces from the Faerie realm. Now, Kelley must come to terms with her heritage – and her growing feelings for Sonny – if she wants to save not only herself, but also the human world that she holds dear.
This YA series started in 2008 and is one of those that was on my radar, can recognize the cover, was meaning to read it- but somehow didn’t. I’m sure a lot of people can relate and have a lot of books that can be described that way. But anywho, Wondrous Strange still sounds like fun and I’m always here for fae. Also liking the shorter series like trilogies and duologies these days. Have any of you out there read Wondrous Strange? Will be curious to hear your thoughts. The price is at a quite nice 90% off on Amazon in Kindle eBook format right now.
Thanks for checking out this week’s Goodreads Monday. I’m quite behind in scheduling posts and just wrote this one this afternoon. :’D Still blogging, but am taking the rest of this month (or all 3-4 days of it, heh) off for what will hopefully be an energized reading rejuvination in November. Several reviews still in the writing though. Thanks for for support as always. ❤ ~ Kitty

I’m so glad I’m not alone in that! I think something about reaching the end of the month, maybe a little burn out? But hoping we get all our stuff typed and scheduled. 🙂

I haven’t heard of this one, but the cover looks really pretty! It’s also pretty cheap on Kindle so maybe I’ll give this one a try!

Happy to hear that!! Much agreed on the cover, it’s so dreamy and gives that 2000-2005 YA books vibe lol.

It’s a slightly older YA, kind of forgotten amidst the many series of that time. 🙂

Thanks so much! Am enjoying it tbh, haven’t read anything in a few days and am trying my best to not get too tempted since I’m scared of burning out/slumping since I’ve read so constantly for months now lol.
