Friday Favorites was born out of a love for lists, books, and positive thinking! I was inspired to host this weekly meme from That Artsy Reader Girl, who hosts Top Ten Tuesday (which is an awesome weekly blog meme that y’all should check out!). I kept thinking of list topics I wanted to explore with my blog, thus Friday Favorites was ushered into this bookish world.
September 27: Favorite Words
I’m not 100% sure what to make of Favorite Words so I’ve opted to look through my bountiful to-read and read sections on Goodreads and look to see if any words keep coming up over and over. And indeed, there are a lot to talk about! (Bolded = Have Read) Most are to-be-read titles.
Forbidden

Forbidden, Forbidden Sea, Forbidden Colors, Forbidden Sister
Alice

Alice’s Adventures In Wonderland, The Alice Network, Still Alice, Alice 19th
Star

Girl Made Of Stars, Starfish, Eyes Like Stars, The Sun Is Also A Star, Stardust, FireSTARter (okay this one doesn’t count lol)
Sweet

Sweet Bean Paste, The Sweet Gum Tree, Sweet Valley (series), Hotel On The Corner of Bitter and Sweet
Dark

There Will Come A Darkness, Dark Matter, A Curse So Dark And Lonely, My Dark Vanessa, A Darker Shade of Magic
Princess

Princess Daisy, The Lost Princess, Paper Princess, A Little Princess, The Princess Bride
Forbidden Alice Star Sweet Dark Princess. That sounds like some Japanese whimsical gothic lolita style fashion aesthetic.

Have you read any of the books mentioned? I’ve only read a small fraction of them. Curious to see every else’s favorite words posts and how they do this theme. If you love any of these books let me know, they all look interesting. Thanks as always for dropping by.

I have not but I love their covers!

It sounds so amazing though heartbreaking, definitely looking forward to all the feels it’ll bring when I get to reading it.

That’s awesome, so few people in this world have read it I feel, lol. I like that old style sprawling saga 80s romance writing style.

Love this idea! Girl Made of Stars is on my TBR as well. The cover initially caught my eye and I’m a sucker for a pretty cover (you can totally judge me for that 😂😅) but they usually turn out to be good reads anyway so that’s a bonus! Lovely post Kitty Marie! Jen
