September 17: Favorite Things to Eat/Drink While Reading (submitted by Jana’s mom)
So confession time, I don’t usually eat/drink while reading. 😮 This is mainly a post to show off pretty snacks/food/drinks, lol. Most of the pictures I took myself unless they’re stock photos. The links are Amazon affiliate links, if you purchase through them I’ll get a small commission. Thanks verily to any who do.
I found these at my local Meijer (a chain grocery similar to Walmart) and thought the packaging looked cute. Not much of a fan of mangoes but whatever. My life has been changed forever. This list is indeed in order from best, and I am still in shock at how wonderful these taste. Nothing could have prepared me, lol. I don’t even like mangoes that much!
These are multi-layer mochi with strawberry jam and cream filling inside. I highly recommend NOT buying these online if you live in very warm climate. I bought these in June and while not melted, they didn’t have that bouncy mochi greatness that they would have now. Super fast to eat which makes for more reading time.
Not linking to any because you should always buy these fresh from a local Asian grocer. This truly tastes as good as it looks. I highly recommend the ones with lotus seed paste.
Small packages, but good. Very soft with a cool and refreshing taste.
I couldn’t find these at Amazon so I just linked to something else by the distributor. Definitely worth looking for at your Asian grocer. They’re like Swiss Rolls but cuter and pinker, lol.
6. Starbucks Purple Drink
(Not my pic, was from TeenVogue.com) I don’t go to Starbucks often but when I do this is my favorite drink. It’s lavender goodness. It’s passionfruit iced tea with soy milk, blackberries, and vanilla.
These are kind of junk food as far as pasta goes but there are no words to describe how delicious these noodles are. I can’t even eat any type of ramen anymore without thinking to myself (why isn’t this Indomie?) I’ve been to expensive restaurants and stared at the noodles thinking “this will not taste as good as indomie” and sure enough, nothing compares. I don’t know what exactly is in these noodles that makes them the greatest drug of all time but you have to try them if you haven’t. The usual price I see on Amazon is $18-19, but right now you can get 30 from Amazon (not from a third party seller) For under $11. Or don’t, because I consider these life-ruining noodles. Hopefully the price is still valid when this post goes live!
I’m sorry all these selections aren’t very healthful. But I hope the pictures were fun! And I look forward to reading everyone’s posts on this crucial topic. ^_- Thanks as always for dropping by.
