Goodreads Monday : 9/16/19

Goodreads Monday is a weekly meme that was started by @Lauren’s Page Turners. The meme is pretty easy to follow, to participate simply choose a random book from your TBR and explain why you want to read it!

After randomizing via Goodreads (going to my to-read shelf, scrolling down and putting sort order by random) the following book tumbled first from that crowded shelf-

Angels’ Blood by Nalini Singh

Vampire hunter Elena Deveraux knows she’s the best—but she doesn’t know if she’s good enough for this job. Hired by the dangerously beautiful Archangel Raphael, a being so lethal that no mortal wants his attention, only one thing is clear—failure is not an option…even if the task is impossible.

Because this time, it’s not a wayward vamp she has to track. It’s an archangel gone bad.

The job will put Elena in the midst of a killing spree like no other…and pull her to the razor’s edge of passion. Even if the hunt doesn’t destroy her, succumbing to Raphael’s seductive touch just may. For when archangels play, mortals break…

This is the first volume in a paranormal romance / urban fantasy series called Guild Hunter. It came out in 2009 and has been in my TBR since 2010! I’ve heard that the storyline and lore is way above par for titles in this genre, the book has overall great ratings/reviews and giving it a whirl has been on my to-do list for too long. If you’ve read this one or other books by Nalini Singh I’d love to hear your thoughts. But then, I love hearing your thoughts all the time anyway. Thanks as always for dropping by~

  1. I’ve never heard of this one but I don’t often read paranormal romance/urban fantasy, if I ever do (I can’t remember reading any paranormal romances). I’ve become a lot more curious about them lately though, and since this has such good reviews, maybe I’ll keep it in mind to check out 😊
