Goodreads Monday is a weekly meme that was started by @Lauren’s Page Turners. The meme is pretty easy to follow, to participate simply choose a random book from your TBR and explain why you want to read it!

After randomizing via Goodreads (going to my to-read shelf, scrolling down and putting sort order by random) the following book tumbled first from that crowded shelf-

The Shadow of the Wind by Carlos Ruis Zafon

Barcelona, 1945. This is one of those books that I’ve seen featured on lists like Top 100 Books To Read Before You Die or Top 100 Best Ever Books, that sort of thing. It has been sitting on my TBR for many years. I’ve heard only fantastic things but don’t know much about or remember much about the premise. If I get around to it this year, it will be a blind dive which is always great! However, if anyone who has read this title has any thoughts please do feel free to share your feelings about the book as I am ever-curious. Also curious if it’s on anyone else’s TBR.
